Mr. Yang Liu

Executive Director of Northern China at Greenment Environment

 

Liu Yang is the Executive Director of Northern China at Greenment Environment. Over the last 15 years, Mr. Liu has been responsible for managing and implementing a large number (200+) of Environmental, Health and Safety (and Social) due diligence, assessment and compliance audits as well as many environmental risk management programmes for multinational corporations in China, Europe, Africa, Australia, North America and South America, covering an extensive range of industries including oil and gas, energy, mining, infrastructure, automotive, pharmaceutical, electronics, chemical, general manufacturing and real estate, amongst others. Through extensive experience in providing solutions and training sessions to corporate clients, Mr. Liu has developed a comprehensive and in-depth understanding on China’s environmental regulatory systems and international standards (such as IFC Environmental and Social Performance Standards).

 

Mr. Xiao Zhu

Professor at the Law School of Renmin University

 

Mr. Zhu Xiao, professor at the Law School of Renmin University, is the Deputy Director and Secretary General of the Judicial Research Centre on Environment and Resources of the Supreme People’s Court of China. He also works as the Vice Chairman of the Environmental Damage Assessment and Evaluation Committee in the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences. Mr. Zhu was nominated as young talent in National Ten-thousand Talents Program from the Organization Department of the Central Committee of Community Party, Yangtze River Young Scholars from the Ministry of Education, and Environmental Professional Top Talent of the former Ministry of Environmental Protection. His main research focuses are environmental resources law, social law, economic law, and food safety law. Mr. Zhu participated in the process of drafting of several significant laws, regulations and judicial interpretations, including the Environmental Protection Law (2014) and its implementing rules, judicial interpretation of public interest litigations, among others.

Ms. Yunting Li, Project Director of Green Choice Alliance at Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs (IPE). Founded in 2006, IPE is committed to promoting governmental and corporate environmental information disclosure in China. IPE jointly developed the Corporate Information Disclosure Index (CITI) with The National Natural Resources Defense Council in 2014 and has been working with more than 60 brands in greening their supply chain in China.
